BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Kathy Clark, Secretary/Treasurer
Arnold Burruell, Member
Jon Post, Member
The Marana Western Heritage Arena is operated
by the Town of Marana Western Heritage Committee Inc., but
is not a department of or a branch of the Town of
Marana. However, the Town is supportive and helps with some
funding of expenses in order to keep the arena rental fees
affordable to all groups. The Heritage Committee Inc. is an
Arizona nonprofit corporation and has 501c3 IRS tax status
for donors and sponsors. The Heritage Committee is
organized with an executive board that consists of;
President – Dan Post
Vice-President- Clay Parsons
Secretary/Treasurer – Kathy Clark
Board members – Arnold Burrell and Jon
Post
The Executive Board operates with
sub-committees who are responsible for different venues.
Each sub-committee can have their own officers and
directors. The executive board supports and holds each
committee accountable and responsible for their events.
Teri Murphy is the President of the MJRA and has total
responsibility for that association and is accountable to
the executive board. The Executive Board Treasurer audits
the finances of the MJRA so sponsors and donors are given
501c3 tax receipts.
In the future, other sub-committees will be
organized. Proposed committees are publicity/promotion,
sponsorships/fundraising, membership/volunteers, arena
maintenance, rodeo, special events (tractor pulls, etc),
clinics, /schools, youth equestrian activities, practice
nights.
Future plans for the arena include fencing
the entire perimeter, additional bleachers and bucking
chutes.
The calendar and scheduling of events is
presently managed by the executive board and may be
contacted by e-mail.
The executive board and sub-committees all
serve as unpaid volunteers, if you would like to help out in
any of the proposed sub-committees, please contact Dan Post
at
